The Board of Supervisors awarded the ARTS Council $ 8,800 from the Transient Occupancy Tax (T.O.T.) to help implement a county-wide Media blitz for the many events on the County Calendar. In collaboration with the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce, Hayfork Chamber, Weaverville Chamber, we are creating a Publicity Packet designed to secure free press releases from the newspapers, radio, and television sources in Humboldt, Shasta, and other key counties.

Additionally, we would like to include your events and workshops on our new website, www.trinitycountyarts.com . If interested, contact the Trinity County Arts Council at 623-2760, or email us at artintrinity@hotmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

We've moved!
Lemonade out of lemons. The funding crisis that has plagued the country stripped the TCAC of the funds required to pay the rent of the Main Street Gallery that has been our home...

A group of entrepreneurial artists developed a dynamic business plan and, as of July 1, 2011, will take ownership of the Gallery. With our visual identity being the Main Street Gallery, the Arts Council has struggled to establish our purpose and identity. Our move to a business environment has helped us to launch our branding campaign . We now share the building with the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce at 509 Main Street, Weaverville, providing us an opportunity to be directly involved with the businesses and events of the county.

This very ambitious production has garnered support from the Humboldt Area Foundation, Trinity Trust, our local Historical Society, the Trinity County Office of Education, Human Response Network, Trinity County Board of Supervisors. We have received donations from the HAF Native Cultures Fund, Scott Valley Bank and CVS Pharmacy. This program can be a step towards building cultural appreciation for the Native population and open the door for intercultural acceptance. We intend this to be a blue print for the future.
